Takasu goes Yankee mode in this episode and heck, it was badass, that way he uncharacteristically ran on the fences and unceremoniously stomped over the crowd.
And the curtain to the Beach Chapter close, abandoning the light-hearted atmosphere to swing into a more sentimental (not to forget romantic) mood. Usually, I don’t really like love-comedies which, in the later half, place too much focus on the serious aspect. Look at School Rumble, for example. ToraDora! however, is one of the rare few exceptions; so far, I really like how they handle the characters’ interactions and the development. Sure, the drama and romance aren’t that much of an impact in comparison to Key’s productions ( Air, Canon ), but hey, not all drama/romance have to be over-the-top with romance/drama in order to be great. Sometimes, simplicity might give much stronger impact and ToraDora! has, I daresay, done it very well — loved the mild, sweet ambiance established with how the episode concluded.
Indeed, I’m really impressed with this episode, finally establishing the main intended pairings (TaigaXKitamura and TakasuXMinorin). Though on another note, I find that Kitamura is way too easy-going such that he tends to appear insincere.
Though only a few seconds, this scene was pretty sweet.
A soft smile on Taiga’s face.
