So, as schoolwork slowly sets in, I’ll have to shaft bloging to weekly post instead of daily post, like in the initial month of which I set up my blog. Then again, this blog is no more than like 2 months old anyway. And it was set up during the long school holidays, where I have plenty of time, anyway. So yeah. All right, just some random thoughts about the current anime-related stuffs.
And damn, I have lesser time to watch anime as well. But fortunately or unfortunately depending on which point of view I take, there isn’t much series that has caught my attention (I’ll talk about that in the later part of this post). Meanwhile, I will patiently wait for the release of the results of the 2008’s Fav Anime Survey@A-Source.com
General Outlook for the Year
“She really disappeared!”
Haruhi is still a lie, so I’ll continue to seek solace in the novels and the 4koma, Haruhi-chan. Yup, I’ll just ignore all the news (rumours, official press statement, conspiracy theories about an elaborate troll for the best pun ever or whatnot and the likes of it) and simply be pleasantly surprised when it does eventually comes out. If ignorance isn’t bliss, apathy will be closer to being bliss — though part of me digress to that idea, but let’s not got there. On a related note, I finally got round to watching the short anime adaptation of Haruhi-chan and Nyoro-n-chan. Pretty interesting and I got quite a few chuckles out of it. The art wasn’t impressive, but I guess that’s beside the point.
Of the new FMA series, I’m kind of neutral towards it. After all, for the initial part of both manga and the old series, the story’s the same, so essentially, for the early part of the new series, it’s pretty much a remake. As for the later half: now that’s where it’s going to be interesting. Considering the fact that the manga is still on-going, I’m somewhat worried about how the new series is going to end. Or maybe, the manga is really going to be ending soon, but oh well, we’ll see. But at the very least, I can be assured that it’ll be worth the watch, even if it does not turn out to be memorable. The remaining Kara no Kyoukai movies are still a rather long way from being released, so no point to really wait for it. Speaking of movies, I’m very curious about the Dragon Ball Live action movie. For good or for bad, I’m just too tempted to watch it (part of the blame goes to /a/ ).
