Lesser and lesser time for blogging, lesser and lesser time for anime… … yeah, I’m still ranting about it. Look forward to the holidays…so, summary post, since I’ve been missing out on alot of series recently. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on the point of view and the related conscience alignment attached, there aren’t anything particularly outstanding anyway. No new series so far seemed really impressive.
Also, of the blog, I’ve also added a new page (next to the Profile): anime I’ve watched and reviewed. Feel free to comment on them in the page itself!
So yes, to get back to the point, some of the series I was following before school started.
Pending On the Watchlist:
Status Outlook: Splendid, 8/10
Of the series of the early 2009, there isn’t anything particularly outstanding. The one that really caught my eye is Maria Holic, but well, if you’ve seen the post I’ve made weeks ago, or if you frequent Anime-Source Forum, you’ll know that I’m in it for the art style more than for the actual story. Okay, the arts and the music. I like the OP and ED. A lot. Don’t get me wrong; I do enjoy the story, but yeah.
Kimi ni mune kyun~ (kyun!)
Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou
Status Outlook: Splendid, 8/10
Nothing dramatic or heart-wrenching, no pew-pew lazors. Just simply slice-of-life/supernatural, but it’s enjoyable.
Sora Kake Shojo
Status Outlook: Decent, Positive, 7.5/10
Cast of Geass and Mai working for Galaxy Angel. Yeah.
Best service to the fans from Sunrise seeing as how almost everything in the series seemed to subtly but deliberately reference past Sunrise shows.
Sword of Uruk
Status Outlook: Decent (but high possibility of Fail), 7.5/10
Season 1 was pretty good. Don’t screw this up GONZO.
Status Outlook: Loosing Interest, 7/10
Let’s just say that it’s getting a little too soap opera to my liking. Temporary dropped and will finish up at my own pace when it’s completed. Though technically speaking, like I’ve been lamenting, I’ve currently temporarily dropped all series anyway– but you get what I mean.
Status Outlook: Positive, 7/10
Sure, it’s Madhouse, and it’s got Nana Mizuki and Romi Paku. While I can understand why many are going fanboy mode over this series, I’ll have to say that I won’t be part of the fan craze. Not that it’s a bad show, just that so far it’s not outstanding either.
To aru Majutsu no Index
Status Outlook: Disappointment, 6.5/10
As to why it’s a disappointment, I’ll spare the explanations… because the series itself already has so much of them.
Status Outlook: Boring, 5.5/10
A Hellsing without the badass and Hayate no Gotoku minus the hilarity leaves Kuroshitsuji with practically…nothing. The stories were boring too. Series dropped.
Status Outlook: Crap, 3/10
Hey, at least it’s not another whinny wuss voice for the lead character of a harem series. But still, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a crap series. Picked up the series because of its ridiculous synopsis: drink cans that transform into girls. What.
Anyway, series dropped.
To my (imaginary) fans, sorry that I won’t be able to regularly post on my blog til around the hols in April.
Oh man, anime abstinence is tougher than I thought. Still suffering from withdrawals…
