[Fate/Zero] Saber – Max Factory

There are many irreversible phases of being in the anime fandom, one of which is when you find that the local anime stores can no longer satisfy you, be it due to lack of variety, inability to get intended rarer products or other varied reasons. That’s when you take the next step: purchasing the merchandise online! Yep, I’ve just taken that new step by ordering the Saber in Tuxedo Costume and pre-ordering the June release Saber Lily Avalon. And as of writing this, the former order has already been delivered to me (actually, it’s arrived for about a week, but I was too lazy to make a post about it till now lol ).

Saber (Fate/Zero)Featuring the famous Saber from Fate Stay/Night, this particular figure is based on its prequel, Fate/Zero.

[In-depth Review] A Certain Magical Index

Finished this series about a month ago, but only got round to writing a review recently.

Wait, scientific explanation for weird-coloured hair? In anime? What about loli-sensei's pink hair?

Wait, scientific explanation for weird-coloured hair? In anime? What about loli-sensei's pink hair?

Its very fascinating storyline, as summed up by its tagline “when the paths between Magic and Science cross, this Epic will begin”, was what initially drew me in. Unfortunately, A Certain Magical Index was far from being anything epic. Come to think of it, I didn’t actually see the paths between Magic and Science crossing.

Besides, unlike Gonzo, JC Staff has been shown to be able to produce good adaptations with ToraDora! being the most recent example that comes to my mind and I’ve read the novel for ToraDora! so I can agree that it is successful. According to several fans, Index was actually a rather accurate adaptation of the novel, but I can’t confirm this, so I’ll simply restrict my review purely on the anime, disregarding adaptation issues. [Eden of the East] Impressions

eden-01

I’ll drop (put on hold) FMA for the time being and start to marathon it when it’s about to reach the part where the anime initially diverged from the manga, which will probably be close to the end of the year. Instead, I’ll have it replaced with Eden of the East. In short, for the season, I’ll be following only K-ON and Eden on a weekly basis. On the other hand, I’m dropping Shangri-la. Eden of the East seems to be the one everyone’s talking about (other than K-ON and FMA) and I must say that even I am impressed with the series. Yes, it caught my attention right from the first episode. No wonder Koda said it is amusing. Mind you, it really is. Continue reading
